So we went to our first party at the UN bar last night. It was supposed to be a cheesy 80s party. We got there and they had some cheesy 80s music but that was about it. The bar was pretty small but had 2 pool tables and ping pong table. Robin & I showed up w/ 6 security guys in tow - our entourage!! ;) but hey the invite said bring friends!! They guys played pool and we chatted with some embassy people. Then we tried to play darts but they wouldn't let us turn the lights in that part of the bar bc the woman running the party didn't want people playing darts - weird. So Robin got us all playing the name game and we played that for a bit - until the table was covered with empty corono bottles. Then we headed back to the villa and a few of us played poker for a bit. Unfortunately, we have 2 meetings today so we don't get a day off this week - YUCK. Plus we have an all day conference tomorrow and 3 big meetings Sun - Tues next week. All great stuff but Rob & I could really use a day to watch movies all day!
