I hope that each of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving day! I definitely got homesick yesterday morning as we filed into the DFAC to line up for our THanksgiving meal. The DFAC staff had gone so far out of their way to create a festive feel in the mess hall. They even had bagpipe players there. They had turkey and ham and all the trimmings. We left that and had to go to some meetings which were actually very good. Then we got back to the villa and the boys had made another thankgsiving meal for us! They had chicken instead of turkey bc they cuoldn't get any but it was still really nice. We all ate to together and then sat around the fire and talked and then someone brought out a guitar. So i went into the office and printed out song lyrics and we all starting singing around the camp fire. Was so fun and so ridiculous!! Finally i went to bed and I actually slept in until 10:20!!!! whoooo hooo!! Today is our day "off" but we do have some meetings and I have a ton of work to do. The checkpoints to the IZ are locked down for a while - they are saying 5 days but who knows - bc of the huge bombings in Sadr City yesterday. Crazy times but our PSDs are really good about sharing intel with us so we are well informed.
Well i got up late so I should get to work! Miss you all!!

court, its eppy and t. thanksgiving at the epstein household was fun with my folks, the till's, and t's sister caroline. i made a raspberry glazed turkey with turkey sausage stuffing full of walnuts, cranberries, and other assorted items. not to worry, i know you were wondering, and yes, we did drink heavily :>. we miss you and hope you are well - thinking of you and wanted to say hi. take care of yourself.
